Price List

Segment One: Cost per student is $300.

This class includes 24 hours of classroom instruction with six hours of on-the-road coaching. We also provide the use of a textbook, “Michigan Traffic Safety Education Student Manual,” and the use of “What Every Driver Must Know” from the state of Michigan.

Videos and handouts will also be provided for use to all students at no extra cost. Students will receive a permit to drive on the H.T.S. with a parent, guardian or adult who is over the age of 21 and has a valid driver’s license. The person driving the student must have permission from the student's legal parent or guardian. After completion of the course, a certificate will be presented to all students who complete the class successfully with a 70 percent or better from the state test. With the certificate, the student can obtain his / her level-one license at the office of the secretary of state immediately after the class. 

Segment Two: Cost per student is $50.

This class includes six hours of classroom instruction on driving. The student will be expected to be able to review the laws and rules of the H.T.S. and discuss advanced defensive driving techniques along with shared driving experiences.

Students will be provided with an overview of the handbook provided by the secretary of state to prepare them for the road test. The student will participate in group discussions and exercises. After the completion of each class, each student will receive a completion certificate. If all requirements are met, students that have their level-one license for six months can take their road test.

Additional time is available for an extra cost, as detailed below:

• Teens who attend Privilege Driving School will be charged $45 per hour.
• Students who did not take Segment One here will be charged $55 per hour.
• Adults will be charged $60 per hour. Adults must have a valid driving permit from the secretary of state. The T.I.P. minimum charge is $100 (two hours, first drive).

Note: We do not accept personal checks.  

All other payments must be in cash, money order, certified check, official check, MasterCard or Visa. It is our policy not to offer refunds.

Tuition payments must be paid in full and students must meet all other requirements before their completion certificate is disbursed. A $20 charge is made if payment is made after class is over.
